Weekend Wonders

One of my favorite quotes of all time is by Kurt Vonnegut and he said ‘Be careful what you pretend to be, because you are what you pretend to be’. We all pretend sometimes. We pretend that didn’t bother us. Pretend that we’re okay, when we really aren’t. Pretend we know what we’re doing. We all fake it until we make it. To a certain degree to pretend, is to be human.

That said – the pitfall with pretending is, if you are so busy pretending to be something you’re not. You lose time you could have spent  getting to know who you really are. Be patient, be forgiving to yourself. Ask yourself the big questions and wait for the answer, the true answer. If you do that, you’ll get to know your true-self. You’ll gain confidence because of that. There is no greater honor or benefit to your own life than owning who you are. Do that and everything else will fall into place
