Hi My Loves,
Two sisters and their partners lose themselves in a carefree South-East Asian holiday but only three come back. Dave and Alice return home to their young family desperate for answers about Jeremy’s mysterious disappearance. When Alice’s sister Steph returns not long after, a nasty secret is revealed about the night her boyfriend went missing. But it is only the first of many. Who amongst them knows what happened on that fateful night when they were dancing under a full moon in Cambodia?
I have to say that this movie will have you intrigued but be prepared to be a little confused but in a great way. As the film progresses you will get the answers that you have been asking yourself and you will be rewarded in the end. You go back and forth from present day and back to Cambodia. This movie at the heart of it is less to do this the disappearance of Jeremy and more to do about human nature, secrets and what effect those secrets will have on the lives around you and the people involved.
Fantastic, tense, slow paced, drama. The ending will hit you like a punch in the gut, truly great filmmaking and acting. You can tell that this film was somebody’s baby they have taken great care and spent endless hours on this story to get it prefect and that’s why it was one of my favorites from 2012.
