As a single girl myself I know that all too often singles can be pitied because they’re on their own at Christmas. Notice I said one their own and not alone. There is a big difference.Why should being single at Christmas be so miserable? It’s a great time of year whatever your age, whatever you relationship status. The truth is, that despite the nosey relatives, asking Do you have someone special, in your life? Don’t you get lonely and I always feel like pulling a Jane from 27 Dresses
Jane: “Yes. Then I remember that I still get to have hot hate sex with random strangers and I feel so much better!”
Although you may not be dating someone special, there are other people in your life who you can spend quality time with. Some of my best Christmas memories is the weekend before Christmas going to dinner with my friends because we knew we weren’t going to be able to see each other over the Christmas
Sadly with the business of Christmas it is easy to neglect your partner – even if it is just a little bit. There is a reason why they call it the silly season. With the full on random checklist of must do at Christmas – Wrapping gifts, batteries for the kids pressies,wrapping gifts, Christmas cleaning, trees,food, guests, cards,parents, kids, nanny sometimes the small things in a relationship, the things that really matters can take a back step.
Kissing them awake in the morning, make them a cup of coffee. Whisper to them that you love them. You will never truly realize how much it will lift their heart.
If your single or with someone and no matter how busy you are or seem to be. Remember to take stock of where you are and how lucky you are to be there. How lucky you are to have the people in your life and how great life really is
